For those who are new to the world of vaping, choosing between the many different strengths of e-juice can sometimes be a bit confusing. But don’t get discouraged. It’s much easier than you might think. In general, the final selection will be based on the average number of tobacco cigarettes that you normally smoke. Then gradually, over time, you can decrease the strength to lesser and lesser amounts so that eventually the vapor has absolutely zero nicotine. Let’s go over the six different strength levels:
This level of e-juice contains no nicotine whatsoever. As our bodies continue to “purge the urge for nicotine,” sometimes our minds and hearts still crave the physical sensation of lifting a cigarette-shaped device to our lips. Until that mental addiction passes, vaping pens filled with 00mg e-juice keeps us from relapsing back into nicotine.
This is an appropriate level for the more social smoker. There are millions of people who only smoke when they are out with other smokers or when only drinking alcohol. Otherwise, the thought of picking up a cigarette never even enters their minds. This lower level of e-juice is perfect.
If you normally smoke less than a pack of cigarettes per day, this lower option might work quite nicely. Keep in mind that most vaping devices have adjustable vapor-intake functions too, allowing the user to decrease or increase the amount of vapor inhaled with each puff.
8mg of nicotine is perhaps the most popular choice for newbie vapers. It’s great for those pack-a-day smokers. Of course, if you are a binge-smoker who sits down at the end of the day and chain-smokes an entire pack all at once, then you may want to rethink your choice.
This is a good choice for those who like a particular brand of e-juice but simply want to boost its flavor a bit more. 12mg might work well for those pack-and-a-half-per-day smokers, too. For smokers of traditionally harsher brands of tobacco cigarettes, like Marlboros, this might also be a good first choice.
This is the highest level of e-juice that we offer at RastorVapors, but some brands can be found that soar to over 60mg of nicotine. 18mg works well for those two-pack-a-day smokers or for smokers who traditionally smoke unfiltered brands of tobacco cigarettes, like Camels, for example. Sometimes this higher strength e-juice is mixed with different flavors of lower strengths to create boutique flavors of the vaper’s own design.
Follow these general guidelines when ordering your e-juice, and you should do just fine. But be careful of certain brands. Some manufacturers of e-juice assign ratings of “low”, “medium”, “high” and “ultra-high” rather than using numbers and milligrams. If the amount of nicotine is really important to you, especially for those who are trying to wean themselves off of tobacco cigarettes altogether, be sure to read the fine print on the sides of the bottles.
