I want to vape! What to expect week by week

Posted by

With 2016 officially under way, many decades-long-smokers have the New Year’s resolution to quit smoking and start vaping. As millions of Americans begin shouting, “I want to vape,” many are not really sure what to expect regarding possible withdrawal symptoms after the years of abusing tobacco cigarettes. The good news is that the negative physical side effects are almost non-existent. Instead, they are replaced with a wide range of very positive and healthy side effects that begin making themselves known almost immediately. Here’s a week-by-week list of life-affirming expectations that you will enjoy by quitting smoking and turning to vaping as a healthier alternative.

8-hours

It only takes eight hours for the body to eliminate all of the toxic carbon monoxide produced from tobacco cigarettes. You might even feel a slight jolt in your energy levels.

3-5 Days

You might begin experiencing a craving to drink more water. Vaping reacts with the water already included in the body. As you vape, your body thirsts for more water. This extra water intake also acts as a natural antioxidant and appetite suppressant. So, you might even have less of an urge to binge eat, too.

1-Week

You will likely begin to experience a tremendous improvement in your sense of smell. In fact, you will definitely smell the odor of someone smoking traditional tobacco cigarettes even in the next room.

3-Months

Your breathing will become less laborious almost immediately after transition to vaping from tobacco cigarettes. By three months, you will have an extremely noticeable improvement. No longer will you be wheezing while walking up a flight of stairs, but you’ll also have so much energy that joining a gym or taking up jogging sounds very appealing. Around 12-weeks, your lungs will also once again be able to clean themselves (perhaps for the first time in decades!).

1-Year

After 12-months of vaping eliquids, the average non-smoker will save around $2,500. A simple pack-a-day smoker paying $6.50 per pack saves $2372.50 per year. How much do YOU usually smoke? Also, your risks of heart disease decrease by half after one full year of vaping!

This sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? Within hours of transitioning to vaping, you will experience a noticeable and measurable improvement in your physical health. Mentally, you will likely begin to feel more confident and self-assured, now that you are no longer chained to dirty ashtrays and long breaks from work standing outside in the rain smoking cigarettes. You may still have the emotional addiction to smoking, but that is “all in your head.” Focus on the positive, quit smoking, and keep vaping! You’ll be glad that you did!
