How do you clean your clearomizer for vaping devices?

Posted by

For vaping newbies, cleaning the clearomizer can be a somewhat confusing task. All vaping devices are comprised of three primary components, the battery, the tank, and the atomizer. Some devices also contain a cartomizer or cartomizer as an additional feature, and when this is combined with the atomizer, they essentially turn your e-liquids into vapor.

When these components become clogged or dirty, your vaping experience becomes less enjoyable. Your e-liquid might begin to taste very different or even burnt, and the chances of a smoking relapse escalate as a result. To clean your clearomizer, follow these seven simple steps.

7 Steps to clean your clearomizer

  • 1.Unscrew the cap of your clearomizer so that you can clearly view the e-liquid reservoir.
  • 2.Now, empty any excess e-liquid from the tank.
  • 3.Remove the atomizer head. If the clearomizer of your vaping device can be further disassembled, take it completely apart, including the removal of the atomizer head.
  • 4.Rinse each of the individual components under a stream of warm water. Never use detergents, soaps, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or other chemically enhanced cleaning agents. However, if you enjoy using a drip tip, those can be thoroughly cleaned with a soapy substance.
  • 5.After each component is rinsed, give them a good shake to remove the excess water. You can also use a paper towel or Q-tip to remove any remaining water residue from inside the tank. Allowing the components to air dry for about ten minutes is also recommended.
  • 6.Replace a new atomizer head into the device at this point.
  • 7.Now, reassemble the vape pen or vape mod to its original form. Refill with your favorite e-liquid, and you’re ready to vape with a clean clearomizer. It’s that easy!

How often should you clean your clearomizer? Many vapers clean them every time that they refill their e-liquids. Others only clean them every few days or when they change from one e-juice to another. The rates will likely depend on your individual vaping habits, but we usually recommend cleaning the clearomizer at least once per week.

Cleaning your clearomizer does not have to be a difficult task. Vaping components are sturdy, resilient products. Don’t be afraid that you’re going to damage your brand new vape mod by cleaning it. In fact, the reverse is true. Failing to clean your clearomizer regularly will indeed damage the device. However, it is important to note that only reusable clearomizers can be cleaned. Disposable options cannot.
