3 Ways that you are likely hurting the vaping industry

Posted by

Many vaping enthusiasts around the world are very aware of the massive amounts of anti-vaping propaganda that is flooding the Internet and television news media. From misinformed stories of exploding e-cigs to ridiculous claims of finding formaldehyde in e-cig vapor, it seems that many news journalists simply love to leave out entire portions of the story in order to gain large numbers of social media shares, likes, and tweets. Is this what the proverbial vaping world is coming to?

If the anti-vaping lobby gets their way, then all e-cigs, vape pens, box mods, vaping accessories, and e-juices will become federally regulated. This will cripple the vaping industry, run thousands of vape shops and start-ups out of business, and increase prices on vaping technology to dramatically high levels. Unfortunately, some vapers are feeding the flames of controversy by not following the basic rules of vaping. Here are three possible ways that you are hurting the vaping industry, the very industry that got you off of tobacco and essentially changed your life.

1.  You treat your vape mod like a fog machine.

Just because it may be currently legal to vape publically in certain public areas does not mean that you can cloud-chase anywhere you like. The average non-smoker is hearing the same anti-vaping propaganda that we are. The trouble is that they are not vapers and are therefore only getting their information based on who screams the loudest. Those massive clouds that are billowing out of your mouth while walking through parking garages and shopping malls are essentially a form of negative advertisement for the vaping industry.

2.  You vape in a movie theater.

Even if you are not a cloudchaser, vaping in a movie theater is a no-no. Even if non-smokers are okay with vaping, they will likely change their tune after sitting behind some inconsiderate e-cig user whose vapor blocks the view of the movie screen in front. Furthermore, that tiny light at the end of your vaping device is another huge distraction. Vaping in movie theaters is a sure-fire way that you will be hurting the vaping industry.

3.  You vape at your kids sports events.

Yes, it may be legal to vape outdoors while watching your kids play soccer, football, tennis, or some other sport, but are you really setting a good example for school age children? While we are all in agreement that we would rather our kids vape than smoke, most of us also agree that we would rather they never get hooked on either. Avoid the vape. This goes for sporting activities, dance recitals, plays, and every other school-related activity. And never, NEVER pick up the vape pen at a PTA meeting, regardless of how frustrated you become.
